Making a Difference for Central Texas Families
In 2026, the Junior Ambassador Board hosted the first annual Rally for Ronald Pickleball Tournament, raising critical funds in support of the A Place Like Home Campaign. As part of their efforts, the 2026 Board secured a permanent naming opportunity of the community room at Ronald McDonald House at Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin.

We welcome any high school student (grades 9–12) living or attending school in the greater Austin area who has a passion for leadership, community service, and supporting families in medical crises.

Junior Ambassadors are active leaders who help champion our mission. Throughout their term, members are expected to:
Join a Committee: Actively participate in at least one specialized committee (such as Fundraising, Family & Volunteer Opportunities, or Marketing & Communications).
Support Fundraising: Assist with chapter events and student-led fundraising initiatives.
Volunteer: Give their time to support our families and programs through dedicated volunteer opportunities.
Advocate: Use their voice and social platforms to help spread awareness about RMHC programs.
Time Commitment
10- 20 volunteer hours with RMHC CTX encouraged annually
Key Activities
Volunteer Days at the Ronald McDonald House (group cooking shifts, donation sorting, decorating, special events)
Fundraisers & Drives: Peer to Peer Fundraiser. Participate in fundraising events.
Awareness Campaigns: Create social media content or host assemblies about RMHC CTX
Mission Education: Tour the House, learn about hospital programs, hear from families served
Membership Requirements
Annual membership fee of $50
Attend 2 meetings a year: August and January
Participate in at least one volunteer opportunity
Participate in Rally for Ronald as a participant and/or fundraiser

Yes! Members are eligible to receive verified community service hours for all approved meetings, events, and volunteer projects completed during their board term. This is a fantastic way to fulfill high school graduation or honor society requirements while making a tangible difference.
