Welcoming Kristin Coulter as CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas

We are thrilled to share that Kristin Coulter has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. Kristin’s leadership marks an exciting and deeply meaningful new chapter for our organization—because she knows our mission not only as a leader, but as a mom.

A Leader Who Has Walked in Our Families’ Shoes

Years ago, Kristin and her family stayed at RMHC Central Texas during their own child’s pediatric medical journey. She understands firsthand the uncertainty, exhaustion, and emotional weight families carry when a child is in the hospital.

She also understands the profound relief of having a place close to care—a warm meal, a comfortable bed, and a community that shows up in quiet, steady ways.

That lived experience shapes how Kristin leads. She approaches every decision through the lens of family-centered care. She leads with compassion, kindness, and a deep respect for the trust families place in us during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Her perspective strengthens our ability to remain focused on what matters most: keeping families together and supported.

Proven Leadership and Strategic Expertise

Kristin has served as our Chief Operating Officer for the past 1.5 years, where she has been instrumental in strengthening operations and advancing our ambitious expansion efforts.

During her tenure, she has helped move forward significant growth initiatives, including new Ronald McDonald House and Family Room projects and the expansion of our Mueller campus. Her steady leadership has ensured these projects remain aligned with both operational excellence and the real needs of families.

Kristin brings extensive executive experience in strategic operations. Before joining RMHC Central Texas, she served as a Vice President at Concordia University and as Chief of Strategic Planning and Partnerships at Liberty Hill Independent School District. Across these roles, she built strong systems, led complex initiatives, and cultivated collaborative partnerships—skills that directly support our continued growth and long-term sustainability.

Building a Stronger Future for Families

We are in a transformative season at RMHC Central Texas. As we expand capacity and deepen partnerships across the region, Kristin’s blend of personal connection to our mission and professional strategic expertise uniquely positions her to lead us forward.

Her heart for families, combined with her operational experience and long-term vision, ensures that our growth remains grounded in compassion.

We are grateful for the leadership that has brought us to this point and excited for the future ahead. Please join us in congratulating Kristin Coulter as she steps into this role and continues working to ensure every family has the stability, care, and community they need during a child’s medical crisis.
